DEVELOPING THUNDERSTORM OVER THE JAMES RIVER

After work on August 8, there were several thunderstorms throughout the area. Most were moving north or northwestward from North Carolina. So, I drove down to the water's edge at Tidewater Community College at the Portsmouth campus. I watched a developing thunderstorm just to my north for a few minutes and noticed a developing lowering cloud base under the storm. This area would grow and become a non rotating wallcloud. I stayed and shot some video and photos as it quickly dissipated. Below are a few of the photos and the video is still to come. Nothing exciting here, but it made for some beautiful photos and storm structure.
