SUFFOLK VA STORMS

SEVERE STORMS AND A GUSTFRONT IN SUFFOLK, VA.

June 9, 2009:

Had some severe storms develop and move into the area on the 9th of June. I drove out to the Portsmouth campus of T.C.C. where I could look northward at the big storms moving south and east over the river. The storm gusted out before reaching me, however, it set off another storm to my south in parts of Suffolk and Chesapeake. This storm would become severe warned and have some very nice structure to it. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I shot the three photos below and tried to get under the storm, but it quickly pushed eastward and I was unable to catch up to it.
