South Carolina Aroura Along I 95: This was an incredible site to see. As Mark Sudduth and I were headed back to Wilmington, NC. after Hurricane Michelle in November 2001, we were on I 95 somewhere in South Carolina when Mark and I noticed this red glow in the sky. It continued to get brighter and we pulled of to the side of the road. Mark checked spaceweather.com and there was a warning out for arouras as far south as Georgia at the time. This was the only photo that turned out, out of three and I ran out of film. It lasted for about an hour and a half or so and could really be seen once we reached North Carolina and the back roads where there was little or no light. Hate I ran out of film.
